The Guide is a digital document in PDF format, written in French, made up of practical explanations, a list of supporting documents, review questions and answers, letter templates and forms in the appendix. Its essential characteristics are presented on the sales page.
The Guide is a general information resource intended to explain, assist, help and support people who wish to apply for French nationality. It is neither legal advice nor an individual review of the Customer's situation. It in no way guarantees that French nationality will be granted, the decision lying exclusively with the administration. EFA Conseil is an independent private firm, not affiliated with the administration. Filing the application with the administration (on the ANEF platform for naturalisation by decree, at the prefecture for declarations through marriage or through a sibling) is free (apart from the tax stamp).
The price of each Guide is shown in euros, all taxes included, on its sales page: €29 including VAT. Prices include VAT at the rate of 20%. EFA Conseil reserves the right to change its prices at any time; the applicable price is the one displayed at the time of the order.
Orders are placed online via the secure payment platform Payhip. Payment is made by bank card, in a single instalment, at the time of the order. The sale is final once payment has been confirmed.
The Guide is delivered immediately after payment, via a download link displayed on screen and sent by e-mail to the address provided by the Customer. In the event of a download problem, the Customer contacts EFA Conseil at contact@efaconseil.fr.
In accordance with Article L221-28, 13° of the French Consumer Code, the right of withdrawal cannot be exercised for the supply of digital content not supplied on a tangible medium whose performance has begun with the Customer's prior express consent and acknowledgement that the right is waived. By ticking the box provided for this purpose when ordering, the Customer requests immediate access to the Guide and expressly waives the right of withdrawal.
The Guide is protected by copyright. It is intended for the Customer's personal and private use. Any reproduction, distribution, resale, sharing or transmission to third parties, in whole or in part, free of charge or for payment, is prohibited without the written authorisation of EFA Conseil. The Guide may include the buyer's details in order to identify any unauthorised distribution.
The information in the Guide is up to date as of the date shown on its cover. As regulations change regularly, it is the Customer's responsibility to check official information before filing. EFA Conseil cannot be held liable if the application fails, whatever the type or reason for the refusal (refusal, postponement or closure of the file), nor for the consequences of inappropriate use of the Guide.
The data collected when ordering (name, e-mail address, payment data processed by Payhip and its providers) are used solely to process the order, deliver the Guide and provide customer service. In accordance with the GDPR, the Customer has the right to access, rectify and delete their data by writing to contact@efaconseil.fr.
Any complaint should be sent to contact@efaconseil.fr. In the event of an unresolved dispute, the Customer may refer the matter free of charge to the following consumer mediator: CM2C – Centre de la Médiation de la Consommation de Conciliateurs de Justice, 49 rue de Ponthieu, 75008 Paris, France – www.cm2c.net. The mediation request can be filed online at www.cm2c.net/declarer-un-litige.php or by post at the address above. Before referring the matter to the mediator, the Customer must have sent a written complaint to EFA Conseil. The Customer may refer the matter to the mediator if the complaint was unsuccessful or if no reply was received within two months, and no later than one year after the written complaint.
These terms are governed by French law. Failing an amicable settlement, the French courts have jurisdiction.
13.1 Purpose. The « File check » service consists of a document check, by EFA Conseil, of the documents the Customer plans to attach to their application for naturalisation by decree or to their declaration of French nationality through marriage: whether civil status certificates are full copies, spelling and consistency of names, dates and places of birth across documents, translations, apostille or legalisation, validity dates, documents in both spouses' names and missing documents given the situation declared by the Customer. The service is provided in French.
13.2 Price. The price of the service is €149 including VAT (VAT at 20% included), payable in a single instalment when ordering.
13.3 Performance. After payment, the Customer receives an instruction sheet. The Customer sends their documents by e-mail to contact@efaconseil.fr. EFA Conseil sends the Customer, by e-mail, a written report stating for each document whether it is compliant, to be corrected or missing. The service includes one re-check of the corrected documents only, within 30 days of the report being sent. The service covers only the documents sent by the Customer and the information they have declared; it does not include filing the file, translations or any steps with the administration.
13.4 Right of withdrawal. In accordance with Articles L221-18 et seq. of the French Consumer Code, the Customer has 14 days from the order to withdraw, without giving reasons, by writing to contact@efaconseil.fr. If the Customer expressly requests that the check begin before the end of this period, by sending their documents with the statement provided in the instruction sheet, they acknowledge losing their right of withdrawal once the service has been fully performed (Article L221-28, 1° of the French Consumer Code). If they withdraw after the service has begun but before it has been fully performed, they owe an amount proportionate to the service provided until they communicated their decision (Article L221-25 of the same code).
13.5 No guarantee. The service is a document check carried out under an obligation of means. It in no way guarantees that French nationality will be granted, the decision lying exclusively with the administration, nor that the administration will not request additional documents, as its requirements may vary between prefectures and change over time.
13.6 Confidentiality of documents. The documents sent by the Customer are used exclusively to perform the service and manage the relationship with the Customer. They are stored confidentially in EFA Conseil's customer management tool, accessible only to the people in charge of the file, and are never disclosed to third parties. The Customer may at any time request access to their documents or their deletion by writing to contact@efaconseil.fr.
